For our second Director project (after the photography portfolio) we had to create a user interface design based on our own research into UIs, do questionnaires on what the target audience wanted, and then once the project had been created, do usability studies on it.

I had a ready made subject area in the canoe club so I had the idea of creating a “nostalgia CD” of the year, with the project taking the form of a photo album of trips and socials – where you flip through the pages as if it were a real album.

The project did quite well in the usability studies, and was liked by the club members – but not to a point where they would pay a token sum for a CD at the end of the year.
