To go with the marketing materials re-branding and new presentation, we decided to relook at the Accountants in Practice area of the website, and to turn the presentation into a video version for the website.
The project required a script being written to the presentation, voice-over recording, subsequent editing of that and then creation in Flash of the video elements in time. This was all produced “in-house”.
The visuals of the video are designed to be as simple as possible so that attention isn’t drawn away from the voice-over content. In fact the majority of the video is taken directly from the presentation version (which I produced as well) and then spruced up a bit to take advantage of Flash’s animation skills and so not to appear so boring people will switch off immediately.
A smaller version of my flash video player was created to play this and fit in the design of the page. A fullscreen button was later added, bringing with it the problem of jagged images as the imported jpegs and gifs were blown up. All images then had to be created in Flash, or in terms of the AccountancyAge and ICAEW logos, converted in Illustrator and then brought into Flash.
A modified version of this was used for a Norweigan partner and was translated into six different languages. The voice over wasn’t changed (we didn’t get around to that) but all text and screenshots were changed.
There are a few screenshots below and the full version below that.
