Juego Justo

Juego Justo was my housemate’s 3rd year university project – a 30 minute film. I helped him film it, as well as act in it and for the two montage sections, I helped come up with a lot of the scenes.

The film originally was to be an extended version of our 2nd year film, but with the added twists of moving camera shots and speaking parts (but still no story line). It soon turned into a Jackass-style stunt show, and then became a mix of the two: a 30 minute sketch show, with some more reflective montages.

Aside from filming and some bad acting, I provided ideas for the montages. Working under the impression that this was the spiritual successor to La Pomme et L’Homme, some of the early material in the montages definately have an artistic nod to the original.

Even though this is my housemates’ work and I had very little technical input in the editing, other than advice on shots and timing, it was a large part of my third year at university, so it is included in this portfolio.

Here are some production stills, and watch out the full piece in this YouTube playlist. In particular, check out The Great Jelly Eating competition.
